Hello, I’m Jess 👋
I’m a British freelance illustrator based in France, creating playful, character-led illustrations with bright, limited colour palettes and a hand-drawn feel.
I help businesses communicate ideas visually, whether that’s telling a story, explaining a concept, or making a brand feel more human and approachable. My character-driven work has been used across event branding, editorial, publishing, packaging, and advertising to help projects stand out and be remembered.
With a background in design and animation, I create illustrations that work seamlessly across print, digital, and motion.

Who I Work With
I work with businesses, agencies, publishers, and event organisers who want their projects to feel engaging, human, and memorable. My clients range from small independent brands to larger organisations, often working in marketing, communications, or creative teams who need strong visual storytelling.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with clients such as The Guardian, Monocle, Ferment Magazine, AARP, Frankie Magazine, SafeLives, and Radley College.
If you have an idea, message, or product that needs to stand out, or be explained clearly, I can help translate that into illustrations that work across print, digital, and motion.
How It Works
We’ll start with a conversation about your project, goals, and timeline, usually via email or a video call. From there, I’ll develop sketches and colour roughs to explore ideas and set the direction before moving into final artwork. Feedback is built into the process, keeping everything collaborative and stress-free. Final illustrations are delivered in the formats you need, ready for print, digital, or motion.
Pricing & Licensing
Pricing is worked out on a per-project basis and depends on the scope of the work, how the illustrations will be used, and your budget. Illustration is licensed rather than sold outright, so costs are based on factors such as usage, duration, exclusivity, and geographic reach. I’m always happy to explain this and help find an approach that works for you.
Testimonials
"Jess has a very confident, very well thought-out style and the way she is able to capture what is quite a serious subject with a lightness of touch is something that we really do appreciate within the illustrations that we commission. Its engaging, its got character, its got heart, rather than it looking too scientific looking. She was an absolute joy to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her for more editorial illustration opportunities in future."
